I was at Target with my boys and spotted this line of red white and blue Minnie mouse apparel! It's a perfect match to our new Scrappy Flower Headband!

An Accessory Tree {Tutorial} & Retail Display

Hello all you incredible Fans out there!! I have an accessory tree tutorial to share!! I did this as a guest blogger over at Sowdering About and wanted to share it with you!

As you all know I make headbands and necklaces for little girls and recently, I finally found my first retail location. I was so excited I grabbed 20 headbands and 2 headband holders and went down there! Well, the headband holders just did not work for the space they had offered me and not only that, it was really difficult to get the headbands on and off without picking up the holder out of the display space, I was so bummed! 

I got home defeated but then I thought about how stores usually sell headbands, on a peg system, but mine had to be free standing, so I had a vision in my head and got to work. Originally I had wanted to just upcycle a mug tree, but I scoured all the thrift stores in my area for 2 weeks before realizing I would have to make it from scratch. I made a list and started checking it off.

Supplies:

• 2" diameter wood Dowel
• 7/8" diameter wood dowel
• small wood plaque 
• Spray paint
• Course sand paper
• Fine sand paper
• Gorilla wood Glue
• E6000 glue
• decorative drawer knob (optional)

Tools: 

• Table saw or circular saw
• Drill
• 7/8" drill bit

Halo Headbands ♡

Recently while experimenting with some new fabrics I made a new product: the halo headband. I call it that because ou wear it across your forehead instead of on your head or behind your ears, so it looks like a halo! I really love this headband and have made it in a few different styles and colors, and have plans to make a few more! I especially love the mini rosette style for newborns!

*NEW* Adjustable headbands!

I have been experimenting with lots of different colors, fabrics, textures, and embellishments lately, and I have come up with my favorite accessory yet! Adjustable headbands! I have only made a few to start but I am so in love with them!! The best things is they fit everybody, they are adjustable!! Here are a few examples with many more being listed soon!!

Little Hunter

I had so much fun making this adorable Diaper cake! It is 3 tiers and filled with lots of diapers, and 3 onesies on the very top, plus of course its wrapped in ribbon and bows! Seriously one of my Favorites!!

We {finally} got an Etsy shop!!

I have been procrastinating getting an Etsy shop for awhile now, but since all the facebook changes, and our reach has shrunk to almost nothing, the amount of orders, has also shrunk. A little bit of diapers a little bit of washcloths.....

Recently my sweet friend Vanessa had an all pink everywhere baby shower to celebrate the soon coming entrance of her first baby girl Ava! I made a very different from my norm diaper cake.  My concept for this cake originally was pink and gray Cheetah print but it is everywhere right now so I wanted to stray from that and I noticed Vanessa had washcloths on her registry so I was inspired!! This cake is more washcloths and bath time than Diaper cake, but I loved how it turned out!

Puma... Neon... Awesome

My sister asked me to make her a diaper cake with  no reference to babies.... Yea sounds super easy right?! I was stumped no regular boy colors no animals no baby stuff.. Finally while browsing thru my local Ross it hit me a bright blue and neon yellow and that was it!! 

I added stars because they are child like but also modern and a simple shape it brought a lot to what would have been a very boring and not baby related cake meant for babies.

 It ended up way more awesome than I thought it would be. Hope you agree!!

Fan Appreciation Week was a success!!

I wanted to have a fan appreciation week to thank you all for being fans of my page, friends to me, and loyal customers. I really appreciate every single one of you and wanted to really show that! I came up with a different giveaway everyday:

Monday we had Mystery Monday with our winner getting a mystery box!! It ended up having a beautiful set inside and a St. Pattys day headband!

 Tuesday was all about tagging and both winners won a $10 store credit!!

Wednesday was which headband you would rather have and our winner chose headband #1!!

3 piece Thursday and Our winner selected a Seahawks Trio!! Tutu, chunky necklace, and matching headband!









Figure it Out Friday was a little riddle that needed solved and the winner won a St. Patty's day necklace and Headband!








We capped the whole week off with A big giveaway to gear up for St. Patrick's day!!

Simplistic Super Hero?

So I had a diaper cake order from a friend To do a super hero cake she gave me a budget and a theme and away I went,  I thought.  I searched high and low for super hero anything and to no avail every place I went all I could find was Avengers... That was not the route I wanted to take. I finally decided to just be creative and I was very happy with the results.

I used the iconic colors and simple shapes of the Super hero logos to make it feel super hero but to still be modern and chic,  what do you think?
