As you all know I make headbands and
necklaces for little girls and recently, I finally found my first
retail location. I was so excited I grabbed 20 headbands and 2 headband
holders and went down there! Well, the headband holders just did not
work for the space they had offered me and not only that, it was really
difficult to get the headbands on and off without picking up the holder
out of the display space, I was so bummed!
I got home defeated but then I
thought about how stores usually sell headbands, on a peg system, but
mine had to be free standing, so I had a vision in my head and got to
work. Originally I had wanted to just upcycle a mug tree, but I scoured
all the thrift stores in my area for 2 weeks before realizing I would
have to make it from scratch. I made a list and started checking it off.
